It seems like every good American should visit Disneyland Orlando at least once in their lifetime, However, what if we told you there is another amusement park owned by the same company that is causing a sensation with its aerial parades. Tokyo, apart from being the most captivating city for lovers of manga and Japanese culture, also has its own Tokyo Disneyland in its metropolitan area.

Tokyo Disneyland has just redefined what a night show with an immersive experience. Thanks to its drone technology, this amusement park creates 3D projections with Disney music that leave all spectators speechless.

Reach for the Stars

On September 20, the new show was presented at Tokyo Disneyland. It is a projection onto Cinderella’s castle, turning it into an animated canvas. Thanks to a little pyrotechnics and 3D effects, the experience becomes incredible. That’s when some surprises come in, such as Iron Man and other characters from Pixar and Disney (Up, Encanto, WALL-E).

Tokyo Disneyland

Although most people believe that Disneyland Paris was the second amusement park built outside the United States, it is actually Tokyo Disneyland that holds that title. It opened on April 15, 1983, and has been a huge hit ever since.

This park is operated by the Oriental Land Company (OLC), so this third-party company objectively takes care of the quality, maintenance of the facilities, and creation of unique experiences. Disney fans are often surprised to find that their experience at the Tokyo amusement park is often even better than the experience they usually have at Disneyland Orlando. If you are traveling around Japan and have an extra day in the metropolis, you might consider going to Tokyo Disneyland to enjoy the parades (and the rest of its attractions, of course!).

Some of the attractions that are only available at Tokyo Disneyland are “Pooh’s Hunny Hunt,” where the cars move in unpredictable and fun ways; the walk through the interior of the Beast’s Castle (“Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast”); the World Bazaar on Main Street to welcome passersby in case of rain; and of course Tokyo DisneySea, which is entirely designed around the theme of the sea.

Exotic and… frugal?

Not only does Tokyo Disneyland have exclusive parades, unique attractions, and is located in such an interesting metropolis, but if you compare it to the amusement park in Orlando, the costs inside the park are much cheaper. Park tickets in Tokyo cost between $52 and $72 per day.

In Orlando, they range from $119 to $199. Food is also slightly cheaper in Japan. A simple pair of mini Mickey ears can cost around $15 at Tokyo Disneyland, while in the United States, you’ll find them for $35. It must be acknowledged that the total cost of the trip can be affected if we take into account the price of the international flight. It’s not going to be cheap to go to Tokyo if you only want to go to Disneyland Paris… But if you’ve already been to Tokyo and have free time, it’s much cheaper to visit Tokyo Disneyland than to pay specifically to go to Orlando. We give you the information, and you decide what you want to do.

What’s more, you don’t need to pay $30 for parking at this amusement park; the park is very well connected by subway. Maihama Station is only 15 minutes away by direct train from Tokyo Station. Apart from that, there is a wider range of hotels in the surrounding areas that make the whole experience much cheaper. If you’re looking for the best quality Disney experience, the most daring innovations, and a more budget-friendly park, Tokyo is definitely the place to go.
